Cardiovascular screenings uncover diabetes in middle schoolers

A pilot study with 45 middle school children showed that more than a third of the children examined had abnormal blood sugar levels or high cholesterol. With these results in mind, parents should consider whether cardiovascular screening is appropriate for their child.
