POLYMER - TUBING & BRAIDING
With our continuous spooling process ensuring exceptional consistency with tighter tolerance, we can design, develop, and manufacture engineered shaft for a complex catheter. The shaft is designed to balance flexibility, torque response, kink resistance, and more, with our capability in a wide range of materials, including PTFE, Pebax®, PA12, stainless steel, etc.

ACT ONE (Asahi Cable Tube)
A cable tubes possess a high maximum torque and high torque transmission compared to polymer braided tubes. Mechanical properties such as bending and axial stiffness, maximum torque can be adjusted by adjusting the amount of wires, while maintaining the same OD/ID. They also feature higher kink resistance and flexibility compared to hypo tubes.

Torque coil
A highly flexible coil consisting out of multiple layers with very fine wires. This makes the coil ideal for high speed rotation in very tortuous routings or anatomies. We offer in 2 Layer for one directional rotation and 3 Layer for both directions. Round and flat-wire type are available. Round is suitable for applications that require high speed rotation, while flat is suitable for elongation resistance and decreasing wall thickness.

Cables
Wire rope Asahi Intecc makes full use of the proprietary wire processing technologies, such as ultra-thin wire drawing and die forming, to manufacture fine stainless-steel wires with diameters from 0.013mm to 0.50mm. They are ideal for applications that require high tensile strength, low axial elongation and high bending flexibility, such as angulation wires in flexible endoscopes and steerable catheters.
Torque rope A regular wire ropes have reduced torque transmission. Our internal technologies make it possible to achieve close to 1:1 torque transmission in tortuous environments. Well-known applications are endoscopic clips, forceps, and other devices that require high flexibility with precise torque transmission.
Flexible Shaft (Drive cable) offers high torque force and excellent rotational performance during high-speed rotation, designed for transmitting power or rotary motion through obstructed or curved path, either between fixed shafts or shafts having relative movement.
It can solve problems of misalignment, absorb, and isolate vibration, and simplify power transmission designs and applications.

Coatings Technologies
Asahi Intecc offers extrusion, dip coat, and heat shrink solutions for customers developing delivery systems. Inner tubing may be attached by chemical etching, adhesive bonding on both ends, depending on the wall thickness, flexibility, and 1 to 1 torque requirements. Customers can now enjoy a more consolidated supply base with excellent in-house expertise in both metal and polymer solutions.
