Nitrocellulose Membrane for Rapid Diagnostic Testing

Axiva offers a range of nitrocellulose membrane to suit different diagnostic tests for lateral flow assays and vertical assays. Our nitrocellulose membrane are made with pure nitrocellulose on state-of-the-art casting machines, giving your assay the best sensitivity.
You can choose from our standard product range or ask for a customization most-suited for your application.

Lateral Flow Membrane
Axiva’s lateral flow membrane are made of 100% pure nitrocellulose polymer with no interfering contaminant or post-treatment chemicals. Axiva ensures utmost process control for membrane production to ensure that each batch of membrane has a smooth, powder-free surface with low background signal allows for sharp capture lines and clear results. Axiva’s membrane provides the reliable performance consistency to maintain your assay sensitivity.
We are the preferred membrane supplier for clients across the globe for their test kits including for HIV, Malaria, Dengue, Covid-19, milk testing, food testing among other applications.

Flow-Through Membrane
Axiva offers unsupported, paper-backed nitrocellulose membrane for vertical-flow assays. The nitrocellulose membrane is casted on a thick cellulose absorbent and the two are encapsulated together. The membrane is extensively used for vertical-flow assays and eliminates the problems caused by capillary rise.
The small pore size and membrane purity of the flow-through membrane enables high protein-binding capacity and greater sensitivity of the assays.

Fiber-based materials for Rapid Diagnostic Tests

Axiva offers a wide range of pad materials for your rapid test application. These pad materials are used as sample pad, conjugate pad, blood separation pad and absorbent pad in a lateral flow assay. Key materials for pads include cellulose filter paper, glass fibre membrane and non-woven polyesters.

Blood Separation Pad
Blood-serum separation pad is a novel product allowing direct separation of red blood and serum on the lateral flow test. Axiva’s blood separation pad is made of a proprietary blend of natural and synthetic fibers that retains red blood cells while allowing plasma to flow downstream.

Conjugate Pad
Axiva’s offers conjugate pad in polyesters and glass-fibre. Our range of conjugate pads offers quick drying & rapid rewetting, and ensures high-level of conjugate release.
